Terms and Conditions

Terms of Business for Services Effective 1st June 2016.

  1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Pooch Parcels terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the contract. 

  2. Pooch Parcels will not confirm any booking or take any payment until the initial appointment has been carried out with the client and the contract, with full details of client and pets requirements, has been signed by the client.

  3. Payments for any service (either agreed at time of booking or subsequently) is to be paid upfront or pay as you go before the service is carried out. Deposits are to be paid upfront and total amounts need to be paid 7 days of receiving a receipt of invoice or by the specified date. This is at the discretion of staff. 

  4. Payments must be paid by cash or cheque. Unfortunately no bank transfers are available at this point in time. Alternative forms of payment methods are currently being looked into.

  5. Cancellation Policy : We must be notified 24 hours before your time of booking to receive a refund for the service. We have the right to deny any refunds for any cancellations after this time. 

  6.  All animals will be subject to an initial assessment by Pooch Parcels staff prior to using any of our services. We reserve the right to refuse our services to any animal if deemed unsuitable for care.

  7. Client must provide their own collars with the correct ID tag on.

  8. All dogs must be micro-chipped and vaccinations up to date..

  9. The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client's absence. (i.e., food, medication, cat litter etc). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Pooch Parcels, these will be purchased and added to the bill.

  10. The client must provide Pooch Parcels with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available, we reserve the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal.

  11. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of Pooch Parcels.

  12. All information that is given to Pooch Parcels must be correct and done to the best of the owners knowledge.

  13. Any personal information given to Pooch Parcels will not be shared unless given clients permission. Excluding emergency circumstance where personal information will be shared with a veterinary practice. 

  14. Pooch Parcels must be alerted to any behavioural problems with their pets at the time of booking, or changes noticed after. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract.

  15. Although Pooch Parcels holds Public Liability insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. We reserve the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

  16. Pooch Parcels will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, We cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

  17. Clients must update Pooch Parcels immediately of any medical changes and if their females come into season.

  18. Pooch Parcels reserve the right to take and use photos and videos of animals in our care upon clients consenting signature provided in contract.

  19. The Client agrees that Pooch Parcels are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leads, collars, tags, clothing or any other item left with their dog.

  20.  The Client agrees to provide keys/arrange access to the dog for the agreed appointment; failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that day’s service and will be paid in full by the client.

  21. The Client agrees that, by signing the key holder waiver form this will indemnify Pooch Parcels in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in present and future circumstances.

  22. Pooch Parcels have the right update and amend all terms and condition at any given time. All clients will be notified of any changed via email or post.

Dog Walking
 

  1. All dogs being exercised must be fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and on a regular flea and worm control regime

  2. Pooch Parcels reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time & with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and/or other dogs.

  3. All dogs will be exercised on a lead. Under no circumstances will your dog be let off the lead.

  4. Pooch Parcels holds the right to use any equipment that a staff member see fit for that dog at any given time. 

  5. The walker will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions (ie, heat, thunder storms) for the safety of the dog(s).

  6. Pooch Parcels are not responsible for any damages that are caused by the dog after a walk. (ie, muddy paws on carpet).

Pet Sitting

​

  1. Pooch Parcels will make it our priority to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however we cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your pet(s).

  2. Pooch Parcels are not responsible for any losses or damages that occur to the property during the clients absence. (ie, flooding).

  3. Client must leave an emergency contact for any issue involving the house or pet during the client absence.

  4. The client must provide all items necessary for your pet to be adequately cared for in the clients absence.

  5. Pooch Parcels reserve the right to change the arranged time of visit to your home under emergency circumstance.
